All tado° product lines are compatible with Apple Home.

tado° X devices use Matter and Thread technology to connect tado° with the rest of your smart home ecosystem, including hubs and devices from Apple.

The Smart Radiator Thermostat X, Smart Thermostat X, and Wireless Temperature Sensor X can be added to your Apple Home app as Matter accessories. Then you can manage your tado° devices either in the Apple Home app or the tado° app.

It is crucial to have a compatible home hub (like the tado° Bridge X, Apple Homepod mini, or Apple Homepod 2) to connect your tado° X devices. If you already own a compatible home hub, adding a Bridge X can help extend your network, but it is not necessary to connect to your tado° devices. These hubs work interchangeably to connect and control all your Thread-enabled smart home devices, but if you want to manage your devices remotely with Apple Home, you will need an Apple hub.

Note that if you own a tado° Bridge X or Heat Pump Optimizer X, they will not appear in the Apple Home app, but will still work to enable other tado° room control devices. You can access specialised settings and insights about your Heat Pump Optimizer X through Balance in the tado° app.

tado° V3+ and previous product lines can be added to your Apple Home as HomeKit accessories, as long as you have the HomeKit-enabled Internet Bridge.

Please note that our oldest Smart AC Control models, V1 and V2, are not compatible with Apple HomeKit. All Smart AC Control settings and insights are available in the tado° app.
