You can manage all your tado° X room control devices (Smart Thermostat X, Smart Radiator Thermostat X, or Wireless Temperature Sensor X) in the Apple Home app. You will need an Apple home hub to add Matter accessories and to control them remotely.
Adding tado° X devices to your Apple Home
You can add your tado° X devices to your Apple Home either from the tado° app or the Apple Home app. First, make sure that:
you have an Apple home hub (e.g. HomePod mini)
the tado° X device that you want to add is powered
your mobile device is connected to the same 2.4 GHz as your tado° Bridge X (or other compatible home hub)
Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device
your mobile device is running on iOS/iPadOS 16.4 or later
In the Apple Home app:
Tap the + symbol in the top right corner and select Add Accessory in the drop-down menu.
Identify the device in one of the following ways:
If the device is new and not yet added to any app, scan the Matter Setup QR Code.
If you have already added the device to the tado° app, select More options and choose the device from the provided list.
If you have already added the device to a different app (like Google Home or Alexa), scan the Matter QR Code or enter the Matter code that is shown in this app.
Confirm the device location and name to complete the setup.
