You can manage all your tado° X room control devices (Smart Thermostat X, Smart Radiator Thermostat X, or Wireless Temperature Sensor X) in the Google Home app and with Google voice commands.
To control your tado° X devices with the Google Home app or Google Assistant, you’ll need:
a Google Home Hub and a tado° Bridge X, Wireless Receiver X, or Heat Pump Optimizer X.
Or, a Google Nest WiFi Pro.

Setting up your devices
Start by downloading the tado° app and creating an account.
Register your devices in the tado° app. Go to Settings > Rooms & Devices > Add device.
Follow the installation process in the tado° app.
After you’ve installed your devices, you can add them to the Google Home app.
Open the tado° app.
Select Settings > Rooms and Devices and select the device that you want to add.
Scroll down and select Matter device linking.
Copy the Matter setup code
Open the Google Home app and select Devices > Add > Matter-enabled device.
Select scan QR code, then select Manual Entry to paste the Matter device linking code.
Please note, the QR code on the tado° device won’t work for Matter device linking once it has been installed in the tado° app. This is why the tado° app will provide a new code for Matter device linking.
Repeat for each device.
For easier voice command recognition, group your tado° devices in rooms in the same way in the Google app as in the tado° app.

If you add your tado° X device to multiple third-party Matter networks (e.g. Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home), it may slightly decrease the device’s battery life due to additional communication across networks. Managing your tado° X devices in the tado° app and one other smart home platform shouldn’t noticeably affect battery life.
