AI Assist is a tado° subscription that goes beyond the standard smart control and smart scheduling, allowing you to fully automate your heating. Our tado° AI makes your heating even smarter and more efficient. It learns your routines and room characteristics to boost comfort and efficiency.

With multiple family members coming and going at different times, it’s nearly impossible to program the perfect smart heating schedule. But when you activate Geolocation, you can rely on AI Assist to automatically adjust your heating when the last person leaves home and when the first person comes back. You can forget about heating schedules and be as spontaneous as you like - your heating will still turn on and off only when you need it.

Coming home to a comfortable temperature is also possible with our Preheat Before Arrival feature. When enabled, tado° AI uses advanced machine learning to predict when you’ll return home and preheats your home in time for your arrival.

If you plan to be away for a longer period of time, you can set up Holiday Mode. This feature lets you set your vacation dates in the tado° app, and your heating and hot water will turn off while you’re away and back on just before you return.

All rooms have unique characteristics that affect temperature season to season and throughout the day. The tado° AI’s Adaptive Heating learns the unique heat-up and cool-down characteristics of each room and fine-tunes the heating control and optimizes your energy consumption - while you stay in control. This feature can be toggled on and off in Settings > Adaptive Heating.

Sometimes, a room will need to be heated when others don’t. If you have Smart Radiator Thermostats, Room Link allows Smart Radiator Thermostats to request heating from the boiler, even when the thermostat directly connected to the boiler does not currently call for heat. The smart integration between the tado° room thermostats and the boiler ensures your heating system runs more efficiently by activating the boiler only when there is actual demand for heat from a room.

Did a family member open a window for fresh air while the heating was on? No need to rush to the thermostat or even open the tado° app. AI Assist will detect the open window and adjust your heating automatically to keep that room from heating unnecessarily.

tado° will intervene for as long as you want it to (according to your Open Window Detection settings), and then your heating will resume its normal schedule.

Even if you heat your home to a moderate temperature, it’s still possible to heat unnecessarily if the flow temperature for your boiler (or other heat source) is set too high. AI Assist uses our Flow Temperature Optimization feature to automatically optimize the maximum flow temperature of an OpenTherm boiler according to the outside temperature (weather-adaptive) to save energy, without ever compromising room temperature.

Energy IQ uses tado° AI to estimate your energy consumption and forecast based on thermostat data and provides valuable insights into your heating usage and costs through detailed reports and graphics.

Care & Protect uses AI to spot issues with your heating system, notifies you promptly, and supports you in resolving them. This feature provides:

Air Comfort provides insights into air freshness as well as temperature and humidity, and suggests ways in which you can improve the climate in your home.

You can find a history of your heating and cooling activity in the Climate Report in the tado° app. You can also find useful and detailed information under Heating Activity in Care & Protect, and in Energy IQ.

You can subscribe to either a monthly or an annual plan, and you can cancel at any time. To subscribe, go to Settings > AI Assist in the tado° app and choose your preferred plan.

If you’re moving and you subscribed to AI Assist via an app store, you can transfer your subscription to your new home. After you have set up your new home in the tado° app, go to Settings > AI Assist to restore your subscription.
