Admin role can now be assigned in the tado° app, making it easier to manage users and subscription(s) of the Home.
As soon as you create the tado° Home, you automatically become the Admin of it, and no other user can have the same role.
What can I do as an Admin vs. a regular user?
Please consult the following overview to understand your role fully:

How do I assign a certain user role?
To assign the desired user role, go to Settings > People, and you will have the following options:
Change the Admin User: If you are currently listed as the Admin but wish to change this, select the desired user and transfer the Admin rights to them.
Invite a New User: If the desired email isn't part of the home users yet, simply invite it via the People settings. Once they’ve joined, you can assign them as the Admin user.
How can I manage people as an Admin?
1. As an Admin
As an Admin, you will have a wider range of settings, such as:

2. As a regular user
As a regular user, you will have a limited range of settings, such as leaving the Home only, by following these steps:
Go to Settings > People.
Select your name from the list.
Select Leave this home. A pop-up message will appear.
Select Leave this home to confirm your choice.
You can only rejoin if the Admin invites you again.
Please note: Your user account won’t be deleted, and you can still use it to join a different tado° Home.
How is the subscription managed?
Only the Admin user can purchase the subscription and manage it.
The subscription is still bound to the Home. This means that even if the Admin user deletes their user account, the Home will keep the benefits from the purchased subscription as long as that user doesn't join another Home and move the subscription there.
What happens if, as an Admin, I delete my tado° user account?
When you delete your account, the next user in line – the one who joined the home after you – will become the new Admin automatically.
What happens if, as an Admin, I delete my tado° Home?
Once you delete your Home, you won’t be able to control your system with the app through your tado° devices. Other users in your Home will lose access to the Home and to the connected tado° devices. All the data saved in your Home will be permanently deleted. Once deleted, your Home can’t be restored.
Please note: Your tado° account won’t be deleted when deleting your Home. You can always reinstall your devices using your tado° account. In this case, log in with your credentials and create a new tado° Home.
