The Quick Action Button on Smart Thermostat X (2nd gen) and Wireless Temperature Sensor X (2nd gen) is used to trigger a Quick Action — after wakeup — which has been assigned in advance in your tado° app.
There is only one Quick Action assigned per device.
Different Quick Actions can be assigned to different devices in one tado° Home.
To assign the desired Quick Action, you need to:
Go to Settings > Room and Devices.
Select the device by clicking on its name.
Select Quick Action.
Choose what happens when you trigger the Button:
• Show Humidity - Displays humidity for this room.
• Boost Heating - Starts a 30-minute boost.
• Resume Schedule - Returns to your schedule.
Please note:
Holiday Mode blocks Boost Heating and Resume Schedule. Therefore, while Holiday Mode is active, if you try to perform any Quick Action, the device will display a Holiday Mode icon indicating that the change is not available at the moment.
Quick Actions can be overridden by the regular manual command or a change in Smart Schedule or similar automations.
Show Humidity
Humidity is the default Quick Action.
First Button Press activates the display and shows the measured and setpoint temperatures.
Any second button press shows humidity.
Timeout or pressing the button while seeing the humidity brings you back to the setpoint
Boost Heating
By activating Boost, the heating will be set to the maximum temperature for 30 min.
This will override all heating schedules and adjustments made before Boost Heating was activated.
Please note: If the device for which you’ve activated Boost Heating is a Zone Controller, all linked rooms will behave the same way.
Boost Quick Action requires a long press on the button until the interactive light ring is complete for the action to be started.
To abort the activation, press the button and release it before the interactive light ring is complete.
Resume Schedule
Reactivates the Smart Schedule for the room when a room has previously been manually adjusted or turned off.
Resume Schedule Action requires a long press on the button until the interactive light ring is complete to show the action has been started.
To abort the activation, press the button and release it before the interactive light ring is complete.
Note:
Quick Actions do not affect hot water control.
Quick Actions can also be activated when a device is offline.
