When a device does not behave as expected, rebooting your device can be the first step to resolving the issue. Doing a basic power cycle can reset and refresh the device without altering any settings.

Restarting the Smart Radiator Thermostat X

  1. Disconnect the battery pack from the base of your device by turning it and releasing it. If the device is already mounted on the radiator, you don’t need to unmount the whole Smart Radiator Thermostat from the radiator, only the battery pack.

  2. Insert the battery pack back into the body of the Smart Radiator Thermostat by aligning the notches and turning until you hear a click.

  3. When the restart is complete, the screen will show the tado° logo and Hi!

  4. The device will automatically reconnect to the network.

After restarting your device, it will remember network credentials, language selection, and screen orientation.

Restarting the Smart Thermostat X / Wireless Temperature Sensor X

  1. Press the middle button and hold it down for 6 seconds.

  2. When the restart is complete, the screen will go blank and then display Hi!

  3. The device will automatically reconnect to the network.

Restarting the Bridge X

  1. Unplug the Bridge from the electrical socket.

  2. Plug it back in.

  3. When the Bridge restarts, the Power LED will light up.

  4. The Wi-Fi LEDs will light up once the Bridge has reconnected to the Wi-Fi. The number of LEDs depends on the signal strength, which could be 1, 2, or 3.

Restarting the Heat Pump Optimizer

  1. Press the middle button to wake up the device.

  2. Use the up / down buttons to scroll to Menu.
