To ensure your preferred heating and hot water settings when you are away for a vacation, you can enable Holiday Mode for that particular period, and not worry. This feature can be accessed in Settings > Holiday Mode if you’ve subscribed to AI Assist and if you have at least one Room control device.
To set it up, first enable it using the toggle, then choose the Start and End Dates.
Once the Holiday Mode ends, your settings and schedule will automatically return to normal.
There are two ways in which you can make the adjustments:
Same for all rooms: One setting will be followed for all rooms.
Custom per room: A different setting will be followed for each room.
Please note: The hot water setting is only available for Relay (simple ON/OFF)-controlled boilers, and not on boilers connected via OpenTherm.
In case you want to adjust the setting later, you can always choose the desired room on the Home Screen and select Modify Holiday Mode settings:
Quick Actions & Holiday Mode
During the time the Holiday Mode is on, all Quick Actions are temporarily disabled, apart from the one dedicated to the Holiday Mode.
This button is used if you wish to stop the Holiday Mode.
Geofencing & Holiday Mode
During the time the Holiday Mode is on, Geofencing is temporarily disabled; therefore, there will be no switching from Home to Away while these settings are active.
Once the Holiday Mode ends, the Geofencing will be activated again.
The same applies to Open Window Detection.
Manual Commands & Holiday Mode
Any manual adjustments made on the devices while they are in Holiday Mode will override the Holiday Mode settings in the app.
Meaning, from that moment on, this particular room follows the manually adjusted setting, but stays still in the Holiday Mode, only with the new temperature.
Please note: Any Manual Commands that have been active before the Holiday Mode was triggered will be lost once the Holiday Mode starts.
Once the Holiday Mode ends, the Smart Schedule is followed.
Holiday Mode in Climate Report
Holiday mode is also shown in the Climate Report with its distinctive symbol and color.
Holiday Mode when Home is offline
Without the internet, the Holiday Mode will not be activated; instead, the system will follow the usual Home Schedule.
For Holiday Mode to start, the devices need to be online.
However, if the devices go offline during the Holiday Mode, then Holiday Mode will continue to be active and will expire on the End Date that you chose.
